HR Generalist

We operate in over 25 locations in North America as both MicroDental Laboratories and Modern Dental Laboratory USA. We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a focus on recruiting to join our team in Troy, MI!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Advertise and source potential candidates from various online channels (e.g. company’s career page, social media and professional platforms)
  • Screen incoming resumes and application forms; provide shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Conduct employee on-boarding and new-hire orientation
  • Monitor key HR metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire
  • Maintain HRIS on an ongoing basis
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Handle workers’ compensation process and ensure timely filing and processing of claims
  • Provides support to employees and managers in the handling of all human resource related queries and activities
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions
  • Handle compliance reporting for OSHA and EEO
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in the Human Resources field
  • Experience working in an organization with over 600 employees in multiple locations is a plus
  • Experience with ADP desired
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of experience; PHR/SHRM-CP certification a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and high volume of work in a timely manner

Job Summary:

The Dental Laboratory Manager of MicroDental Lab will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the laboratory. They will be responsible for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision making to attain desirable profit-making results and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • · Ensure laboratory maintains and manage relevant proficiency and quality control standards
  • · Ensure individualized customer service, communication, and directly interact with customers in resolving issues as necessary including a system to monitor customer maintenance and plan for meeting industry standards for customer retention
  • · Measure and regularly communicate the operational performance (cost, quality, time, customer issues) through effective metrics and related capabilities (i.e., processes, systems, data)
  • · Hire, train, engage, empower, develop and mentor laboratory staff
  • · Establish and conduct a professional employee evaluation system for rating performance, goal setting, and providing regular feedback to the staff members
  • · Establish a regular system of staff communication—including production/team huddles, team meetings, and all-lab communication
  • Establish performance goals in collaboration with the Company’s Senior Executive Leadership team
  • · Establish, deploy, and continuously improve a standard, consistent way of managing laboratory to facilitate continued company growth
  • · Establish and manage departmental budget/P&L in coordination with CEO/CFO
  • · Assist in a plan for developing a sales and marketing strategy that integrates with the corporate sales team to attain budgeted sales revenue goals
  • · Plan and execute ongoing productivity improvement strategy across the laboratory operations, leveraging internal and external best practices
  • · Collaborate and interact with other departments such as R&D, human resources, accounting and IT to establish and refine efficient and effective processes while ensuring the company's operational priorities are aligned with the company strategy
  • · Ensure Operations-related data, analysis, and guidance are provided in the preparation of bids for potential customer contracts as well strategic partner initiatives
  • · Assist in the development of and ensure accountability for production department materials and labor budgets
  • · Assist with product analysis and pricing development
  • · Attend tradeshows, meetings and other events as required
  • · Ensure that safety protocol and safe practices are being followed throughout the laboratory
  • · Minimize material waste and control material costs in conjunction with the finance department

Qualifications:

  • · Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business, or equivalent work experience. CDT or equivalent preferred.
  • · 5+ years in a leadership experience at the senior management, large dental laboratory/industry experience required
  • Direct experience defining, deploying, and continuously improving operations and management processes
  • · Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • · Operations Management: 5 years (Preferred)
  • · Senior Management level: 5 years (Preferred)
  • · Occasional travel required

DENTAL LAB TECHNICIAN — MODEL ROOM (MicroDental California, Livermore, CA)

We are seeking an experienced Dental Technician-Model Room to join our team in Livermore, CA!

Responsibilities:

•  Read and follow directions on prescription. Be able to understand a doctors’ preferences.

•  Follow in-process laboratory Quality Assurance standards.

•  Pour, trim, section and articulate stone models from patients’ impressions.

•  Operate and maintain a variety of dental laboratory tools and equipment such as: trimmers, lathes, saw, articulators and cleaning devices.

•  Maintain dental tools and equipment with cleanliness and care.

•  Follow daily schedule and production goals.

•  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

•  Previous experience in a relevant field or dental environment preferred.

•  Excellent hand/eye coordination.

•  Ability to stand for extended hours and lift weight up to 20lbs.

•  Good communication skills. Ability to read handwritten English.

Dental Lab Tech Consultant | Chicago, IL

We operate in over 25 locations in North America as both MicroDental Laboratories and Modern Dental Laboratory USA. We are one of the largest dental lab groups in the world and a leading producer of dental prosthetics and restorations. We are seeking an experienced Dental Lab Technician to join our Modern Dental Lab in Chicago, IL!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate all technical consultation with the dental center clients.
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing calls that pertain to case questions and resolution of technical problems and on-time return dates.
  • Be the liaison between the customer, dental center, and Modern Dental Lab production team.
  • Visit with clients at their practice or in our office to discuss case issues, assist with chairside prosthetic delivery to the patient, or determine a solution to case problems--i.e. seating problems, custom shades, etc.
  • Assist the Dental Center Leadership and customer service team to monitor all customer service issues, customer satisfaction, and problem solving.
  • Assist the Dental Center Leadership in meeting with prospective clients to develop new sales or grow existing clients.
  • Assist in special projects relative to client development or sales activities as directed by the management team.
  • Assist in quality control of incoming production cases prior to delivery to the client. Make slight adjustments as needed to correct case issues.
  • Perform hands-on repair or adjustments as needed on work returned by the client--ceramic, removable.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a working, practical knowledge in all product areas of the dental lab industry--including dental implants.
  • Must have good communication skills to speak with and meet clients of the dental center and resolve customer service problems.
  • Must be capable of professionally integrating within a small service-oriented business team.
